Global warming

I don't see the downside to any of the following - exercise (walk that 1/2 mile to work/school) - recycling plastics and metals (amazing when you recycle how much trash you actually have. Try it and see. In my experience, plastics are the biggest bulk offender) - CFC bulbs...even though they are expensive they last 5 years or thereabouts and use way less energy. The mercury content is minimal from what I've read, and way less than what is in normal florescent tubes.
Bio-fuels from corn looks pretty inefficient to me but I'm in the same boat as the rest of you in that I only know what "they" tell me. But all of the above are do-able and regardless of global warming, help the planet or my wallet or my health.
Global warming? Someone is spreading alot of FUD about the issue. I suppose the reason is that there's so much money to make one way or the other. I don't see the downside to assuming that global warming is occuring and that the steps I can take as an individual to lessen its impact is going to help me (regardless) in the health / wallet / cleaner environment areas.
