I don't think anchoring on the 23-point is right anymore. If you were White would that concern you? Their worst rolls are those with dice 4 or 5 different: {61,62,51}. Unfortunately, recognizing this doesn't help our decision since they can double hit with 61 if we stay put and double hit with 62 if we slide forward.

3/2 has merit because our board is likely to crunch further and we want our low points.

23/22 prepares to pressure their 9-pt. Right now they have a spare there but next turn they may not. What if we aren't attacked and roll a 2 next turn? Then we can at least consider making the 22-point.

23/22 looks like the optimistic play compared to 3/2. IMO, when your back is to the wall, be an optimist:
