In Response To: Jeff Ward's 'Magic Triangle' (Albert Steg)

Does the e-rule apply when one removes the requirement that the two remaining checkers are in the homeboard? If not, can the rule's scope be extended with a less stringent requirement (like one in the inner board and the other on the player's homeside)?
