Sorry pervs.. this is a not a kinky red-head story but a BG story...I was at a NEBC T in Boston nearly 30 years ago and started a game with 3 of my mid pt checkers back on my ace pt...ie 5 checkers on my ace and two on my mid...yeah spacing out and not realizing what side of the board my mid pt belonged and not having the best lighting in the big hotel ballroom.
My opp made a major split opening (most didn't back them) and was pointed on..entered and was pointed on again (me still not even looking at my mid pt or my 5 checkers on his ace pt) he entered again and my 3rd joker in a row pointed on him to make a 4 pt board on which he danced so I cubed as would be normal (even 30 years ago for me) with a quick 4 pt board and his checker on the roof, never bothering to look at my 5 checkers which started life on his ace pt and never realizing that board had been set up wrong.
My opp thought briefly and passed !! and then a couple seconds later as I was resetting for the next game I noticed 5 checkers on the 24 pt and was like.."OMG didn't you see them there to my opp who said,and I believe truthfully, not until you doubled me, and I decided to pass anyhow rather than fight your 4 pt board !
