Masters pick 5 - OT -- How does this work?

In Response To: Masters pick 5 - OT (Bill Finneran)

I'm trying to figure out how this works.

Bill approaches Chuck and says "For even $ I'll give you the choice of picking 5 players or letting me pick 5 players. After you decide which side you want then the side with the 5 players gets to name his five, but not before that."

Is that how this works in practice?
