Hi Marcel,

Welcome to the OLM!

You have a pretty good handle on the rules. Vote first; read the votes of other afterwards. Do not post your vote beneath the vote of another player.

Checking with a bot can cause problems. As Jason already pointed out, you cannot vote in a consultation if you have checked with a bot.

Another issue is cubes. If you use a bot to evaluate a checker play, you will learn the equity of the position. This can be very useful in deciding whether to double, and also whether to take or pass.

If that happens, you should not vote when the cube decision comes up. You can just post an apology, saying that you will not vote, because you checked with a bot.

The OLM is very low-key. No one will be upset if you have to pass on one of the plays. We are all just having fun.
