No need (or desire) to hit loose on the acepoint, where Stick can stew for a while as far as we're concerned. We don't want that (i.e. our) checker out-of-play yet.

8/7 is a bit more flexible builder location compared to the continuation 17/16. Staying on the 17-point might hassle Stick more although that isn't our primary purpose right now.
