what about not resigning at all?

I think player is allowed to refuse a resignation for a single point in a gin position where there is a theoretical posibility of a missplay. For example, I have a single checker on the ace and you have all checkers in your home board. If you resign right here, I can tell you to roll AND make your play. But of course I am not going to do it.
If you have a checker on a 10 point and closed home board and roll 62, I can ask you to make you play.
If you have all checkers stacked on the ace, I cannot refuse resignation because all your plays are forced.
This may all sound silly, but making correct plays for you is not your opponents job, no matter how simple they are.
