Surely, many readers have a rollout for this one (clear but not huge pass, equity of about 1.1) and possibly for variants.

I didn't play out your original position but, offhand, I would think this one is a rather above average continuation (extended, advanced blockade, good builders and outfield control, opponent neither anchored nor escaped) and would question the pass.

On the other hand, if someone who did play it out claimed that reaching such a strong position is pretty typical, I'm ready to trust him.
