Why is it ever OK to have the computer decide what is the optimal checker-play?

Because the wild majority, 99.X% of these plays every donkey who would be playing on said backgammon server would get correct. It's not worth wasting the time. Much like when contact is broken playing against XG and all I have to do is run off the gammon (no brainer) and have almost zero chance in the race. Could there be a play in there that requires some type of decision? Maybe, once in a blue moon. Don't waste my time.
