Transcribing problematic videos

If it is indeed impossible to figure out every roll of the dice by the moves played, then I agree it shouldn't be transcribed. The vast majority of moves can be determined to a virtual certainty (assuming al legal move was played) with a modicum of applied logic. Many others can be determined by an assumption that, given the choice between two rolls, one yielding a clear (and obvious) blunder, and the other being the correct play, the latter roll was the correct roll. In other words, a little more applied logic. If the difference between two rolls, however, is a small to moderate error, and there is just no way to know for certain, then it may be necessary to scrap the match. Or give it an asterisk and an annotation. It is certainly a LOT more work for the transcriber in any case. Fortunately, the state of streaming has improved a great deal in the last couple years so these things are becoming rarer and rarer.
