Well, not in the sense that the resulting equity is any different, but yes, you gain "only" .300 by doubling this without the Jacoby Rule in effect, while you gain .526 in the original position. Obviously, it's a big double in either case but is .226 "bigger" with Jacoby in effect because your undoubled equity is that much lower to begin with.
