Just Wondering

I think that a lot of people don't concentrate well against inferior opponents. When you see your opponent making one mistake after another, it is easy to relax. Some people have that problem, others don't. My wife Linda has a terrible time with weaker opponents. But, she frequently plays at the top of her game versus world class opposition. I do OK unless I find myself thinking "How can I possibly lose to this Bozo?" Then my play slips. I've seen this in other games / sports as well. You may or may not have this problem. It's worth watching.
When there isn't serious money on the line, I try to play everyone straight-up. I just try to make the best play every time. This has really helped train me to maintain my concentration against weaker players. The other thing I do is to insist that I decide what the best move is before making an inferior move based on my opponent's weaknesses.
