This position was posted by Paul on rec.games.backgammon, who included a rollout that indicated a close RD/T. Paul chided himself for a "very typical intermediate-level matchplay error" but I felt that he was being too hard on himself because this is a very tough position to assess accurately.

If you follow the thread, you'll see that Paul wrote, "I would prefer it if I was credited when problems that I post are quoted elsewhere. This is not a criticism of Tim (who posted to bgonline) because he obviously didn't know about my preference and there may be others who prefer anonymity." In fact it was my intention to provide these details, and a link, after people had a chance to think about the position itself. This is not a criticism of Paul because he obviously didn't know about my intentions.
