Volunteer or play safe?

First, I think we got a flexible position vs a badly timed low-high backgame (worst of the kind), so I'd ship the cube before the roll. Opp probably can still take it, but some above average exchange could loose our market.

As for the play, I'd make the 3. Completes the block for rear anchor, strengthens the board in case of hit exchange (which should happen soon due to opp's lack of timing), fills the gap for bear-in, and all of that at the risk of only 4 jokers (41 & 43), which aren't that incredible anyway (they leave some blots and keeps the back guys still primed).

Alternatives?

9/1 makes a blot that'll back-up opp's high anchor splits, which will happen soon due to his lack of timing.

9/6 13/8 stacks and leave some shots, breaks the midpoint prematurely (I like to have it vs opp's runs, which will happen soon due to his lack of timing).

9/4 6/3 is dominated by 8/3 6/3 (leaves a direct too, but accomplishes much less than the dominating play).

They are all awkward, which ease the choice.
