Specifics?

After you double the first time you will have no more cube decisions so no more possibility to make mistakes. The gist of the matter is what we want to do with the PR, to be like a mark at school, as is now or to be more connected to the result. I think players want the later because they look at the PR for every single match. Both considering only the biggest mistake and doing the sum of missed doubles are extreme solutions in my opinion, maybe a compromise can be found, like limiting to consecutive decisions. A conservative player is anyway penalized and if is not good at doubling in the race he/she will do it in other matches but in case you don't want to double for some reason, weak opponent mainly, you will not get penalized too much. When you pass a take you get ding only once. Playing for PR and playing to win is not the same thing, you can see also from thinking about repeating position, but for some players is like this, is their style.
