Backgammon Boot Camp. All 258 positions (diagrammed and implied), along with another 50 positions chosen for effective contrast.

What does that mean? Walter would often use contrasting positions (Here Black has enough timing, but here he does not.) But occasionally he would only include the former. This is not so good in the context of flashcards -- it makes it easy to "learn" that the given 2-3 backgame position is a take without looking very carefully. So, in that case, I added a contrasting position that is a pass, forcing the user to learn the difference between the positions.

Each position includes the position name ("6-21") making it easy to refer back to the book when the result surprises.

This set really opens up what FlashBack can do. All prior decks were focused on the opening two rolls or the bearoff. Seeing and training all these complex midddle game positions on your mobile device is really a joy. This set costs $20 through in-app purchase.

Races. How many intermediate or (shhhh) open level players have you seen that still have problems counting and evaluating low-wastage races? Don't let yourself be one of them!

These decks contain over a thousand varied "normal" racing positions. Practice counting by turning the pip count off (check your result when looking at the answer). Extensive help is provided covering several methods of evaluating races and determining proper cube action. Anyone not solid on these topics can get a lot better very quickly with this training aid. Free.
