Die-on-a-checker rule.

I've heard some guesses about how much time is lost to dice on checkers but is there actual data the committee looked at for how often it happens per match and how much more the homeboard side roller is affected? Also note that the homeboard side roller is more likely to have this happen in races but then it might not matter at all since the play is likely to need very little think time.
