How fast can you count the pips?

In Backgammonstudio, there is a challenge where you have to count 10 random positions (which usually fit your description, more or less), both sides. You have to solve these in succession and you can take breaks between positions if you like. Each pip your count is off counts as some time penalty, I don't remember the details exactly. The top score is 9.9 seconds per position (including the time to enter the result of course), but only four users have ever managed to stay below 30 seconds per position.
