One of the Danish "giants" played a gazillion 3 point matches while learning. But really, whatever works for you. I think a match score I "hate" would be a good one to practice.

If I were going to practice, now, playing 3 point matches, I think I'd play the 0-0/3 game, and the second game only if the first game ended in Double/Pass, otherwise start a new 3 pointer. Reason being that the 0-0/3 and 1-0/3 and 0-1/3 scores are always cubefully interesting, but except for single:gammon considerations, there's nothing special about play at 1-1/3, 2-0/3 and 2-1/3 scores. But if I wanted to practice playing, say, Gammon Go, then as Philippe suggested, I could just play 1-2/3 Crawford all day long.
