Yes, 9/2 wins 1.1% less games then 9/2 but in turn it wins ~ 1.7% more gammons then 18/11. To me, it's an equity bargain, considering the match score and cube value.

But yes, we must figure it out why 18/11 is a considerable alternative. I would play these positions almost auomatically, which is too bad, so more analysis is needed to educare us.
