I knew there are situations you described and that is why I said "assuming the opponent hasn't made an error", but I meant a better example. You open with 51 slotting. Your opponent has to double because he can roll 66, which will lose his market after your 66 (51$-66B-66J is a pass). Now, let's say your opponent doesn't double and rolls 66 (so far we have 51$-66B). It is now wrong to double (at your first opportunity) because you cannot lose your market but can roll 66 and have a pass.
