My rule - "Never leave the anchor, except when it's right."

Running out of time, and opponent is improving so now seems like a good time to go.

Not ahead enough to go with both, plus duplicating 5's is visually appealing and I lack the patience to keep the tension. 21/10 my play.

On the other hand, the race is a toss up. I certainly wouldn't argue with bringing down two from the midpoint. I come across a lot more "nevers" than "excepts" with these leave the anchor decisions. Besides, there is more to life than squeezing every drop of equity out of a checker play, right?
