In Response To: Cube action - Cash or Cheque? (scotty)

Thanks Scotty, Neil and Karol - you are all correct - NR/T.

I recubed here but I think it was a reasonably close decision (rollout -0.017)

Scotty - I still don't understand these mystical METs :(

I wish the School of Fish meetings would come back :)

SD >> White needs slightly more than 9% winning chances to take the cube

How did you arrive at the figure of 9%?

In the MET screenshot the intersection for this score, 3a-7a, is highlighted in green and showing 23.7910 ? 23.7910 does not equal "slightly more than 9% winning chances ".

Is this figure of 23.7910 relevant to anything ATS? If not, why is it highlighted green lol?

Also, I'm trying to learn the Keith Count at the moment. Both Thorp and Keith (and 8912) Theory functions say that this is a Double / Drop, and probably by some clear margin. Why? Are they mistaken?

Finally can still not make head nor tail of the GNUBG Market Window function.

I have 88.9% winning chances.

GNU says that my Double Point is 61.4% to 87.4%

My Cash Point is 81.4% to 90.7%

I seems to me that 88.9% is practically touching the upper limit of my so called 'Cash Point', so logically it should be good and safe to double and Cash here, right?

Here are 4 related images - the last 2 (Race Theory and Market Window) are animated gifs so pls wait 7 seconds for them to switch over frames...

P.S. Scotty, I did notice that the fully live Take Point for GNUBG is 9.276% which dovetails neatly with your 9%-ish figure as well as the upper limit of my Cashpoint 90.724%.

So does this mean I have to be *above* my maximum 'Cash Point' to offer the cube? That doesn't sound very intuitive to me. I guess I am misunderstanding the terminology - bah humbug!

P.P.S. It also fits exactly with the MET which reads 9.276 for 7a-1a. But the current score isn't 7a-1a. It's 7a-3a for the CPU.

Bottom line - I think this fish needs some practical MET lessons :/
