I quickly hit and covered the 5-point here and that's a big mistake. Hit and run to the 14-point is clearly correct. Even hitting and playing 5/1 with the 4 is better than covering the 5-point. I guess keeping your 5 prime intact overrides covering the valuable 5-point in this position.
