You are talking about a position where you are favored to win, but a lot of your loses are gammons. That's pretty uncommon, especially when playing the Jacoby rule. Why would there still be a centered cube?

OK, for purposes of your question, it doesn't matter why, just that there is one. I was less concerned about that scenario that the more likely case that the strong player correctly held his cube and the box is now the favorite holding cubes of weak players. The box decides to recube, but does not double the strong player from the center to prevent him talking.

Given that the above scenario can also occur with other rotation rules, I remove this rule as a requirement for playing in a chouette where the box only has to win the game. The key to making this rotation rule work is that the box cannot double and pass selectively -- there are rules tied to the rotation order that govern his cube action.
