Meaning of apply and ok in XG settings?

When I click the rollout button that is not what happens and I have never even seen "Ad Hoc". By rollout button I mean the green rectangle next to the half red/half green ++ rectangle which are located beneath the plays and equities. Is is something else I should be clicking on?

What happens for me is I get a popup box that says something like "custom setting 1" or "(Preset) moves 3 ply, cube decision XG roller". The only option I have right then is adjusting number of games. It seems I actually need to go back to settings to have it choose a different setting for the rollout.
