Meaning of apply and ok in XG settings?

  • Ok: Save the changes and exit the dialog box
  • Apply: Save the changes, keep the dialog box opened
  • Cancel: Cancel the changes and exit the dialog box

    This is quite standard practice for dialog box for settings, in particular if there are many settings accessible from that dialog.

    Strangely, I see seasoned users, even developers, that click "Apply" and then "Ok", it is actually not necessary: "Ok" does it all.
