First two posters hit on the 13-point. After that I think it's all for hitting on the 12-point.

BTW, this reminds me of what I consider a general principle: if the competion is between what happens on opp's next roll vs. what happens on your own next roll, most of the time opp's roll should take preference. The reason is that opp rolls first. Another way to think about it: for sure your concern for opp's roll plays out. Whether you even get a chance to face the anticipated situation when your own roll finally comes around is a separate concern.

But like any rule (Fram "pay me now or pay me later" for example :), there are exceptions.
