The truth is that on the average the Doubler actually wins about 4% less, because cube ownership has a price. (e.g if he doubled at 70% he will eventually win 2.8% less) This is mentioned in many books.Even if you look at the rollout statistics you will notice that.
Now why do rollouts always present almost the same values at cube n and cube 2n? Presumably the bots want to present the user with cubeless percentages. However the rollouts are anything but cubeless. So someone thought it would be right to split the percentages of Double/Passes among the 2 players. If a D/P occurred at 80 Vs 20 they would account for 0.8 wins for X and 0.2 wins for player O.
Go figure...
