But that position is a pure attack where you have reasonable priming potential. In any case, in all the 55 attack positions and in Neil's position, pips are important, and in comparing with for instance 52S 55 F we should also consider that in Neil's position the racing advantage is less.

Another factor is that while the 5-point statically is better than the 3, it is not clear how this works out in a blitz position. A 2 from the mid does not add an attacker directly bearing on an open point, after all. I think 52S 55 F is significantly stronger for the attacked than Neil's position.
