It’s all about maximizing equity, move by move. The fishes saw, that they were fishes, they and their money left the game.

Is the advent of programs like XG generally acknowledged as having significantly driven weaker players ("fish") out of competitive $/Tournament backgammon? In the 90's? I'd be curious to know whether this is true and how people have that impression.
