Very impressive result from DeepMind team - Xavier's take?

Unless I am mistaken, basically they do what Xavier has been doing with XG for a long time (not quite, because I understand that Xavier uses specific training positions), but would be able to throw more resources at it. I am pretty sure they'd beat XG, but mostly because of superior resources, not so much because of a superior approach.

I am waiting to be corrected!
