Do any of the player here think that a backgame is strategy to seek against any top level player?

Sure sometimes it will occur in match but it's rare and if you let XG self play you virtually will never see a position that could result in a snake.

of course A0BG could turn that completely over and discover new strategy that has eluded both computers and humans, but i would say it is very unlikely.

Bob, I know your incline to dissect statements and call them out if they are not proven, but as you quote me "I expect" means it is only my (semi-educated) opinion. If you think my opinion was not warranted, why not give us yours rather than asking me to clarify mine? Do you actually think there is a chance that backgames could be a reasonable approach against a top player?
