Sorry Bob, but i call BS on that answer.

Can you elaborate on that? Of course everyone barely educated on backgammon knows that "Need to play the strategy to fit what the dice give you and where the game leads you" is primordial to BG.

Are you just stating the obvious?

You say that "My opinion is that thinking of backgammon strategy as a choice to "seek" to go for a backgame or not is flawed from the start" please elaborate on that, as i am sure people would thing it useful. Do you have any insight on when backgame should be a proper avenue?

Again, I do not claim to have the level of understanding of the game that you have, but you if you making such claim, you should be able to back them.
