PRaT is not dead, but it smells very funny. Olsen split Threat in Attack/Contact (turnaround). PRaT or now PRAT turns only in an fully useful tool, when the game turned into a 'defined state' or when the crisis comes, the situation, when the decision for the turnaround comes to a climax. I'm translating the concepts into a sheet. You can see, if you add up the appearance of concepts in the hierarchies, a hierarchy:
Connectivity/structure, flexibility/freedom (runners), race/pip-count, purity/race efficiency/robustness. Aha.
Contact/Turnaround value add up to 15 concepts, Prime/Position value to 12, Blitz/Attack to 10 and Race to 6 concepts. The value of a position is an assemblage, it is a way to find between an accuracy and to handle it over the board.
By the way, have you ever heard of a good definition of the hyper-complex concept of 'timing', necessary to handle prime/contact positions?
