Leading 3 away 10 away, the take point is very low. Shipping it over it is win vs. trailing 3 away 2 away, in a game devoted to the luck of the dicies. No mismatch to exploit. And the follow up after a lost is similiar. The trailer, now leading 2 away, has a simple game plan. Avoiding gammonish positions, playing on for an undoubled gammon. Remember the last 10 seconds. The blame was on Williams. He decided to dive, avoiding a pass interference penalty. And then there was the touchdown. If he had tackled instead, there had been a bounch of possibilities. No penalty at all. Clock is running down, game over. Penalty, fieldgoal attempt, perhaps a kicker missing, perhaps a block. Here it is similiar. Turning the cube gives the chance away, that the trailer can blunder, on the long run, to overcome a big leed, the opponent standing already in the redzone. Doubling here is choosing the 'clever' slant route, instead handing it simply to Marshawn Lynch, going for the run, without doubling down. NO double, despite giving up now a 'little' equity.
