Imo the tournaments themselves should change by replacing the boards with computers or tablets and just leave the dice to be thrown manually. Or replace the old fashion boards with computerized ones still using manual dice. Until that day comes -which might be never because of the decreasing interest in Bg... Maybe the organisers themselves should add a relatively small fee over and above the eligibility fee, to cover the costs for paid transcriptions of certain matches.(way to go Bill)

I've only done one transcription in my life for a 3 hour 25 pointer and got a headache for 2 days. Will not do it again.

Imo it's not necessary to transcribe all matches, only a few would suffice. One way to find out about this issue is to upload the transcribed matches on a server that counts the number of downloads for each one separately and see what happens.

Transcribed matches have their own priceless value.
