I cannot imagine that the director of a tennis camp would think anything on this earth is a "higher calling" than teaching tennis. Except, if he is religious, maybe becoming a clergyman of some sort.

So I would bet your pro is either working in some kind of religious area, or he has, indeed, passed away.

If he has not passed away, then the director should be looking at a lower calling that does not include communication.
