I don't think it will change BMAB at all, as it will be an equal playing field for all over time.

As far as giving something back, like increasing the delay, not a bad idea for starters. Maybe going to 15 just to make people feel more comfortable about the change, but I really don't think it is necessary and that would cause more people to take more time every move and might do the opposite of what I think we need to accomplish.

Before you get too negative about the shorter time controls, please give it a try at your local club or a side event first. I think once you give it a try you will see you still have plenty of time to consider tough decisions, and again, we get all the other benefits I outlined.
