Others have already mentioned the impact of the score. If you change this to unlimited games, you will get a better sense of how strong Blue is. Blue has a lot of time to escape so can easily win by brute force (closing White out while escaping), and if White enters quickly and makes an enter, Blue may prime White and White may then crash. Also, if White gets closed out and Blue cannot escape, Blue may crash but with two checkers on the bar, there is a lot of life after crashing.

Between the two positions, I believe you think the second is stronger. Well, maybe, but there is a trade-off: In the second position Blue will win more gammons because White will less often be able to anchor, but in the first position Blue will win more often as he has more time to escape and will crash less often. The importance of these factors depend on the type of game (unlimited or match, and if in a match, the match score).
