In Response To: Another ruling situation and questions (neilkaz)

I have no idea what the USBGF or EUBGF rules say on this matter, but IMO the checker remains on the board. Showing intent is not actually hitting the checker. I don't want to read my opponents mind, or jet into what different gestures and hand signals might mean. What if he doesn't tap the checker, but points at it? Bottom line is, he hit his clock and a legal move had been made...it stands. If the hit was forced, or a non-legal move was made, then he would still have the option of picking that checker up. IMO.
