QF certainly tells us what the contentious play is.

Some differences: In Robertie's position, White has TMP. White also has a homeboard blot as backup for Blue in case of the hit. Robertie's position shows Blue with a (pseudo-)anchor. And there's the ever present "attack one, prime two" considerations.

Opp's TMP argues for not slotting, but the homeboard blot argues (at least relatively speaking) for it.

Interesting that if in your position you make the prime, you still have two of your remaining three spares semi-trapped. But maybe that's just an absolute equity issue (your position harder to win than Robertie's) and thus doesn't negate the slotting play.

BTW, was there a matchscore for the Robertie position?
