Or, more clearly and in terms of blinds:

Last hand of the tournament: bad player & good player each have 1BB each in front of them. Each player has a 50% chance of winning.

Early in a very long tournament: bad player & good player each have 100,000 BBs in front of them. Bad player's chances of winning are dramatically reduced.
