Full Baffle Box Rules

I have been requested to post what I believe should be the complete rules on using the Baffle Box.
Baffle box rules:
1. You don’t need to use cups, but be sure you drop the dice in, not “place them” in the box.
2. It is recommended that the first roll be done by one of the players, rolling both dice, and designate one color of the dice to each player for the entire match. (You can take turns and have the loser of the previous game roll the dice if you like.) An alternative is to have the first roll by each player NOT go through the box, but be on the board as you would normally without a baffle box. (The problem with each player rolling their first roll through the box is potential disagreements if one player’s die hits the other player’s die and changes the roll.)
3. The best way to play is with one pair of dice, not two. When you have made your move, then tap your hand on the bar to indicate your move is over. Then the other player can pick up the dice and roll. Using 1 set of dice prevents the problem about disagreements about what was rolled after a player made his play; it assures that both players are using the same dice so there is no question about defective or loaded dice; it prevents the problem of fast-rolling; and it helps the players prepare for tournament play where you play with one set of dice and a clock.
4. If one or both die get hung up in the box, the entire roll goes over. If both dice hit the box, but one or both bounce out or do not go completely through the box, the roll is valid provided both dice land legally inside the playing surface on the proper side of the board.
