Luck Factor - layman's definition

The luck is the difference between the average value across all dice and the value of the dice actually rolled.

How are the values calculated? Are they based on match winning chances (mwc) or emg or ...? Mwc would be the closest indication of how much luck you got or didn’t get from the dice.
