"What would some of the giants here think of this? My avg. PR is about 8ish. Is a world class player PR > 4 supposed to drop this?"

Assuming you can't make a mistake and dump a little equity playing the position, then one needs to determine what a player about 4.5 PR stronger than you has for ME when he trails 2a6a.
