Should I just make the DMP play?

If I run out to the 14 to get closer, White will have an extra shot number from the bar if she enters, and I will have two extra blotting numbers with 5-5 or 6-6 if she fans. But closer is closer, and 9 pips from safety is better than 11, whether or not White enters on her next shake. Bottom line for me: I don't really know which play is the DMP play, and I'm not going to figure it out with any certainty OTB. But I do know that I will win more gammons if I stay back on the 16, because I'll have more shots at White's blot on the 10 if she fans. Plus, I have always felt that the value of gammons in human cash games is underrated by bot stats, because of the demoralizing effect that gammons tend to have on the loser. So I stay back on the 16.
