Great new material!

Comparing to my current method of choice, colorless counting, the third step is the same, so it is a matter of determining which of the two methods is fastest as far as the first two steps are concerned.

Step two is definitely faster in the criss-cross count compared to colorless counting.

For me, step one is faster in the colorless one, probably because I have trained myself to visualize it faster than I did at first.

For someone looking for a method, I would definitely recommend checking this new method out.
