Thanks to Max for this very valuable contribution. And thank you Nack for sharing his method and for yet another educational and well-written post.

The colorless counting I was referring to was indeed the Urquhart version. I realize now that the CCC will most likely be faster for me once I have gotten used to it, and will switch to it immediately.

What I like about both the CCC and Urquhart methods is, in addition to their elegance, that they can be used with decent speed in "brute force mode", right off the bat.
